MEET THE FOUNDER
Laura Elizabeth Smith was born in the UK and started her career as a designer through freelancing and building her own websites. She's been freelancing for many years, first opening online magazine Oh! Ducky Darling in 2016. Through the magazine, she has collaborated and worked with various fashion brands, including Boohoo, Radley London and Daniel Wellington - both writing content, producing creative photography and graphics. Through the blog, she also started designing and making her own outfits, which led her to compete on the reality TV show: Design Genius. The experience inspired her to branch out and start working with professional clients on various design products, including product designs, packaging design and print design.
In 2021 she got to work more closely with various brands, including E420, Loxa Beauty and V-Syndicate, advancing her skills in print design, product design and packaging design. Developing skills in range of areas inspired Laura to open this shop.
EDUCATION
Laura Elizabeth Smith graduated from the MA Magazine Journalism course from Nottingham Trent University in 2017. The course offered a covered everything from writing to designing print magazines. She also got to prefect her skills using software: such as inDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
After the course, Laura realised she preferred the design elements covered on the course and focused her career path in that direction. Although, she still does enjoy writing in her spare time - as she writes blog posts for the site and product descriptions.

LAURA & LAVA YOUR STYLE
Laura loves everything related to design! She's always got Illustrator and Photoshop open on her computer incase a new idea pops up. She comes up with the product concepts, creates the artwork for them and the packaging, then works with various fulfilment companies to bring the products to life.
Laura's role doesn't end there - she also works on the website design, writes blog posts and works on the site's SEO. She loves getting her hands dirty, learning new things and getting involved in all areas of the process. Her philosophy is to be curious, give anything a go, and to never stop learning.
*Please note: Some of Laura's previous work was created under the name Rosa Fairfield (a stage name from her previous work as an actor).
